Give To Fairlawn

Thank you for considering a gift to Fairlawn.  As a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 continuing care retirement community. Fairlawn Retirement Community began as a mission of care that continues still today.  We have always depended in part on gifts of time, talent, and resources from generous people.  Since 1961 when Fairlawn was first established the community has had a long tradition of stewardship and generosity in support of our mission: In the spirit of Christian love, Fairlawn has remained dedicated to promoting and enhancing the quality of life and continuing care needs of every resident in our community.

By making a financial donation, you can make a difference in the lives of our residents and ensure the future health of our community.   Your partnership can provide peace of mind for residents needing assistance through gifts toward resident benevolent care. You can also make a difference through support of ongoing projects such as building updates, campus beautification, enhanced activities and clinical equipment needs.   All gifts to Fairlawn are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Opportunities to Support

As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, Fairlawn depends on the generosity and support of our friends and community. The following outlines options for charitable giving to Fairlawn Retirement Community. You can designate an area to direct your gift according to your interests and passion. You can also choose to give a one-time gift or pledge a gift over a period of time.  To make a pledged give contact the Development Office at 567.444.5086 and we will be happy to assist you.

Benevolent Fund

This fund helps meet the needs of residents whose financial resources are insufficient to fully cover the cost of the care services.  There are often a significant number of residents in our care center who, through no fault of their own, no longer have enough financial resources to fully cover the cost of needed care.  In healthcare, even with governmental assistance, there is currently a gap for many residents of over $40 per day.

Buildings and Grounds

Fairlawn was founded in 1961 and welcomed our first residents in 1964. Fairlawn is committed to ensuring that our building remain comfortable, secure and welcoming. Gifts to our buildings and grounds fund will assist in renovation, maintenance and upkeep of our current buildings and campus.

Special Projects and Wish List

Sometimes residents and friends of Fairlawn wish to match a gift with their passion or the passion of a loved one. Examples are to purchase outdoor seating, fund a special event for resident enjoyment, plant a tree in memory of a resident, etc. Wish list projects are usually for non-budgeted equipment or programs that will enhance the lives and care of residents. Examples of items we have purchased include specialized serving equipment for dining, improved sound system for the chapel, a “NuStep” exercise machine for assisted living resident use, and technology equipment to assist with video chats for families. Contact the Development Office at 567.444.5086 to discuss your ideas or to learn what is on our current wish list.
